Owner Mark Watkins developed a passion for Jewellery design when he started teaching at the Birmingham School of Jewellery in 2003, Specializing in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and 3D printing, Mark worked and teached both to students and Industry at the University for 13 years, making numerous contacts within Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. Learning many new CAD Software programmes and running various types of 3D printer to produce models for casting, Mark's appetite grew for doing more of his own design work.

Mark started work as a toolmaker learning his craft on CNC machines through to the bench, This gives him a real appreciation of how things are made and what is practical or possible when designing. He then moved into product design serving industries such as mobile phones, Houseware and Automotive.

 

Deciding to set up his own business, Mark started CADCAM Models in 2016, utilizing his wealth and knowledge of design and 3d printing. He has never looked back and relishes the challenges of design that his customers constantly present to him.
